Great question! The short answer is no - this board is designed to be used on lawns and hard surfaces. That requires the connections to the adjacent tiles to be strong enough that when the board is on a lawn, and you step on one tile, the adjacent tiles don't come apart even with a 250-pound person, causing the tile to sink into the grass.
The good news is the tile connections are very secure. The downside of that is that the board can be a challenge to take apart.
I do have a couple of suggestions -
Hope this helps.

I do have a couple of suggestions -
- If you have enough room to store a 10' x 10' piece of plastic, you can tilt the board on its side and store it vertically.
- With a little bit of work, you can quarter the board for storage rather than taking all 64 squares apart.
- You can leave the board in the snow. We work with a number of ski areas that have the pieces out year-round. Even if you aren't going to use it in the winter, the board can be buried in snow with no effect on the board.
Hope this helps.
